I have learned that the relevance of teamwork cannot be overstated when it comes to the enhancement of the learning process. Teamwork enhances an individual’s ability to tackle issues addressed during discussions on his/her own through improved understanding of concepts. I was thrilled to have an exciting team comprised of women who were cooperative, professional, and focused. With regards to conflict management, conflicts are inevitable in a team, since its composed of people from diverse backgrounds and with unique personalities. Our team members could not agree on an issue and there were some misunderstandings in which some chose to stay on the sidelines and not be involved. Therefore, l ought to sharpen my ability to resolve misunderstandings amongst team members. Secondly, I need to sharpen my communication skills and abilities like listening skills since I noted that I may not be as good a listener as I previously thought. Some of the health promotion skills believe each nurse ought to have included effective communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. A nurse needs to be an effective communicator to interact well with others in his/her workplace. The lack of effective communication would result in improper care that is characterized by several challenges. For instance, a nurse should be able to relate well with the patient to determine whether the treatment regimen is effective and refer the information to physicians for appropriate action. Secondly, nurses need to have superior organizational skills to carry out tasks in an organized, thoughtful, and planned manner. This is critical because mistakes during Caregiving could prove fatal and cost human lives.
