Life is full of curiosity for all of us. No matter the age or the gender, thoughts are always going to cross our early minds that we will not know the answer, in which we feel as if we are in the grey area. From a young boy to a young adult, I too have ran across several instances in which I was full of questions and desired to know what the big deal was. Nobody wants to be the one to fall behind and isolated from society due to a lack of knowledge and education. I am pleased to see that we are really making an effort to move towards the notion of sexual education. My personal upbringing was like many others, I would say. When I entered middle school, topics of conversation started to change, I started to feel different, and I started to look at women in a way that I never cared to look at when I was just a child. This is the years that are referred to as puberty. During puberty I did become more familiar with my own body. I felt guilty because I did feel more sexual because of the spike in hormones during the time in growth. I was masturbating and becoming more familiar with pornography and this was something that I thought made me weird and not normal. I can now say, like anyone else, these actions happen because of curiosity. It was not my fault and this was just mother nature running its course. A failure to know about something leads to wondering. And a feeling of pleasure leads any child to do the same. It is a fact of life that all people should be assured that it is natural and even healthy. I was developing hair where I never did before and I had to learn what pimples were the hard way.
