Much of my centered around the ability to work and the ability to be a husband or wife. Through the last three generations, the focus has shifted from education and work. My values and ethics have been given to me though my grandparents. My paternal grandmother, Maria del Jesus Aguilar, born in Mazapil, Zacatecas, Mexico. She was born in July 20, 1919. My grandmother’s family immigrated from Italy in early 1900’s looking for a better life, they settle in Zacatecas before my grandmother was born. My grandmother married my grandfather, Salvador Sierra Morelos but died at the young age of 33 years old. My father was only 3 years old when my grandfather passed away from tuberculosis. After my grandfather passed away my grandmother was left with five kids, she had to work for the first time in her life. My grandmother worked really hard to feed her family. She moved from Zacatecas to Matamoros, Tamaulipas because she could find better work opportunities. The early memories that I have about my grandmother is always working from early morning to late at night and she wouldn’t miss a day even when she was sick. By hard work, I mean not only physical but with sacrifices and pain in order to accomplish goals. Starting from my grandfather and grandmother, they both scarified time with their families to provide food and clothing for their families. My grandmother, a widow and alone was able to accomplish just that at a time when females didn’t were very accepted at a job site specially in Mexico. My father had to change his way of life so he can provide a better education and better life to us, all his hard work and perseverance was able to give us a better life than his. As for myself, at 40 years old, I still have my goals that I know I will be able to accomplish with hard work and
