Since childhood through graduation from high school, the idea of going to college constantly entered my mind. I always considered that college was a career advantage, because while in high school I never learn about how to invest in my career success properly, and after graduating I wanted to accomplish independence and set in a future in which I could be better prepared to give back. Most of the weekends during my summer vacation were spent on the beach where I could relax and reflect about what was coming after that point of my life. Consequently, I started to see the world different and noticed how the water and the sky were completely independent from each other, even though they seemed to be connected. I was a reflection of that image, because I always wanted to achieve independence without knowing that I was connected to the world. Nevertheless, I said to myself that the first step to achieve independence was to start college. Two months later, the time to register for college arrived. After that moment, I feel confident that my way throughout college will help me develop into an independent, responsible, and mature adult. Now that I am in college, I am exploring and seeking for better opportunities to become more independent and self-responsible for my actions. I always said to myself that the first one thing that I was going to explore while in college was to find ways on how to mature in my decision-making.
