Raising minimum wage would benefit many people and would give them a higher standard of living. It is the american dream to start with little to nothing and work your way to the top. But some people are just not in the right place in life to become rich and successful. But no one can argue that if those people are making the current federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour, their quality of life will sky rocket if they even just get a couple dollars more per hour. Rent would be paid on time , ability to buy more nourishing food than just mcdonalds and toys to make childrens childhoods more enjoyable. Small companies might be hurt even more by the minimum wage increases. Some autopreneur can only afford to keep it small. Some people like the feel and vibe of a small family owned business from bakeries to small used car lots. Small businesses are all around us and we should make an effort to support theses hard working entrepreneurs and their desire for running a proud small business. But raising minimum wage in some instances is not the right decision. Considering small businesses are not large corporations they have a certain point where they are paying their employees too much for financial stability. And our children and their children will all be affected either positively or negatively on how minimum wage is changed now and then. Weather we have a bright economic future or a bleak one relies on how minimum wage is handled. And we must handle the topic of minimum wage with kid gloves because if minimum wage is handled improperly the effects could be massive. In the near to distant future we will see more than just new technology. If the usa follows its current economic trends we will almost certainly see quite higher minimum wage than what we are used to these days. Because of the fact that inflation raises the amount things cost every year. So companies and state governments and even our national government has to raise the minimum wage.
