PERSONAL STATEMENT

I developed interest to study radiology few years ago after the death of my aunty, which died of unknown stomach pain in Africa. My initial thought was, she could have been cured or prevented, if she were to be leaving in UK. I also realised that thousands of people probably died in similar circumstances and painful death around the poorest part of the world due to financial constraint, without knowing the cost of death of their love can be very unforgiven.
With all this in mind, I decide to research a little bit further into diagnostic radiographer to understand more about human anatomy and the possibilities of becoming a radiographer will give me the opportunity to help people which requires immediate attention, in other …show more content…

Therefore, a radiologist is fundamentally a medical doctor who specialised in diagnosing various injury, illnesses and diseases with the mean of medical imaging techniques, e.g. ultrasound, X ray, magnetic resources imaging in short (MRI) and many more such as positron emission tomography (PET) and nuclear medicine. I understand some patient are not able to carry out your daily routine without the help of health and social care worker. My experience as a Health and Social care worker have giving me the opportunity to view life changing conditions and illnesses the difficulty the elderly, young adult and the disables have to deal with on a daily basis. In addition, I have worked in the railway industry for than 15 years. Working in the railway industry have thought me about working under pressure and meeting deadline. As an assistant signal installer, my job is to ensure that all the mechanical controlling train direction are in good working order. This process requires attention to detail to enable smooth train operation during the working hour. I believe more can be done to support venerable people in our society, by providing adequate treatment and services to support their needs.
