RAID Technology
RAID technology is a fault tolerance for avoiding hard disk failure for the Windows NT server. RAID standing for Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks is part of Windows NT and doesn’t require additional software. There are three levels in which RAID works levels 0, 1, and 5. There are levels 2, 3, and 4 but the server does not utilize them.

Social and Gender inequality is a continuous battle women have been fighting for a long time. In the Middle East, particularly Afghanistan, there is a wider gap between the rights of males and females. Women in Afghanistan have consistently been treated as inferiors to men for thousands of years. In the novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns, author Khaled Hosseini does a remarkable job of portraying the hardships and difficulties of women in the late 20th to early 21th century. Hosseini stresses the issue of gender inequality through the characters of Mariam and Laila. Throughout the novel, recurring themes of social inequality point to the misogynistic society of Afghanistan and the Middle East.
Since the tragedies of September 11th 2001, Americans have really opened their eyes to the political state of Afghanistan. The poor treatment of women in Afghanistan is an issue that, for many Americans, just seems to be coming to light as a serious concern that requires outside attention. Extreme Islamic leaders in the country persist in limiting the freedom that Afghan women have. Women in the Taliban-controlled country suffer unusually hideous acts of torment and are forced to abide by outrageous regulations because of stringent enforcement methods. Afghan women daily live lives restricted by Taliban law and risk having to endure cruel punishment and torture, yet Afghan political leaders continue to justify the their treatment of Afghan women.
Spanking doesn’t allow children to learn the reasons why to act appropriately. When parents use physical punishment, such as spanking, to discipline their children, they do so in order to improve their child’s behavior. According to a report composed by a lead researcher in the field of pediatrics, spanking does not teach children the reason for why they are being punished or why their behavior was wrong. Spanking teaches children to act in a desired way only because of fear of being punished. Being a victim of spanking, I only feared the idea of being spanked, and that is why I changed my behavior for the time being. I did not actually understand the reasoning for why I was being punished. Spanked children do not understand the positive and important reasons for acting properly.

Women are often portrayed in stories and tales as the Damsel in Distress. We are the ones waiting in our flowing gowns for the knight to come and carry us away on the back of his white horse. In a Thousand Splendid Suns it is the women who are the warrior princesses, the ones enduring so much. It is the strength of a woman and how they deal with the human capacity for evil that jumps out as the themes of this story. A Thousand Splendid Suns shows the perspective of two women, in which they live their lives both very differently but both show the inner strength of being a woman. It is most definitely not the easiest task of being a woman in Afghanistan, where men have so much power and authority. Both these women stories’ are being told during three decades of anti-Soviet jihad, civil war and Taliban tyranny. Mariam and Laila become allies in a battle with their brutal husband, many miscarriages, mothering a daughter where women are not welcomed, dealing with many deaths of loved ones and somehow showing the resilience of being a woman.
A woman’s life in Afghanistan is one of the most shocking and devastating truths. It wasn’t until September 11th 2001 that the world awoke to the relevance of women’s issues to international peace and security. However, it’s been two years since and the lives of Afghan women have improved only slightly. Harassment, violence, illiteracy, poverty and extreme repression continue to characterize reality for many afghan women.

It can be concluded that the complex changes in life circumstances that an adolescent experiences throughout and after a divorce can alter relations with one or both parents. Main factors such as children feeling caught between parents and inappropriate parental divorce disclosures can effect parent-child relations in both positive and negative ways. Overall, learning how to communicate in a constructive manner has proven to allow parents to minimize negative effects of divorce on their adolescent children and maintain healthy relations. Future research studies need to be conducted in order to determine which communication strategies work best to prevent negative relations between adolescent children and their divorced parents, assuming the relationship was intact prior to the separation.
