Recommended: The importance of data analysis in qualitative research

Data Analysis The purpose of qualitative data analysis is to interpret the raw data and the resulting themes or patterns, to facilitate understanding of the phenomenon being studied. Since the data reported in this study will be mostly obtained from individual and focus group interviews, in order to ensure a high level of accuracy within the data; the researcher will be using a recording device during the interviews. Immediately following these procedures the transcribing process will take place, which means the participant’s speech will be transformed into written form for closer study. The transcribed notes create cohesion and will include details such as time and date of arrival and other observations and interaction from the participants …show more content…
