It is certain that gender inequality exists today, and while there are ideas as to the cause, there is no reason why this gap should continue to go on. The government should take steps to close the gender gap in the workforce. Usually it is indeed females that receive the most inequality but there are cases where men are treated unequally. A woman’s right to equality guarantees that she will be treated fairly in the workplace and that she is respected as having equal value and worth as her male peers. The wage gap has been around since women started working outside the home, and even as more careers become open to women.
