There are those who content that advertisements in schools can be a unprecedented way for schools to raise their funds, their detractors, however, argue that the it can be detrimental to children as captive audiences. To my way of thinking, I agree with the latter contention profoundly. There is a plethora of reasons, as far as I am concerned, why the formal argument does not hold water. Perhaps chief among these is the fact that advertising in schools defeats the very purpose of schools as educational institutions. Public schools should be funded by the local government instead of corporate sponsors.
