Oxford dictionary (n.d.) defines procrastination as “the action of delaying and postponing something”. People sometimes carrying out less urgent projects or do more pleasurable things first and put off what really is important (Wikipedia, 2014). A lot of people do the tasks they have to complete at the last minute. Solomon and Rothblum (1984) state that procrastination is “the act of needlessly delaying tasks to the point of experiencing subjective discomfort” (Solomon & Rothblum, 1984, P.1). Procrastination is not only a lost of productivity but it also leads to regrets and damaged self-esteem (Association for Psychological Science, 2009). Procrastination is an easy habit to develop because the reward is moving your mind’s focus to something more pleasant, and that happens easily and fast (Oakley via Coursera, 2014).
