Abortion is the untimely and early ending of pregnancy. Thirespondedss can be carried out by the will of an individual or can occur on its own because of any abnormality or disease. Abortion ending due to any abnormal condition is referred as ‘spontaneous abortion or miscarriage.' Abortion, as a term, is specifically used for the ending process of pregnancy by the will of the mother. This process can be carried out in a variety of ways depending upon the gestation period, the condition of the fetus inside and preference of involved mother.
As the age of fetus or gestation period prolongs, there are lesser chances of safe abortion (for mother) and increased chances of various complications. The soon a female realizes she might be pregnant or there are chances of pregnancy, she should immediately go to her doctor or take a home pregnancy test. Almost all operations of abortions are carried out in the first 12 weeks (first trimester) of pregnancy, and during this time the development of fetus has not yet been started. So technically, logically and scientifically abortion cannot be referred as a murder. Second, adoption is not the ultimately viable option for abortion. It is because very less amount of women chose of give up their babies once they are born. Third, abortion is necessary to opt as an option in case of being resulted from rape or incident of incest. The victim is not supposed to carry the burden of the savageness and inhumanity done to her. Fourth, abortion is not used as a method or way of contraception. Abortion, in almost all cases, is opted because it is certainly unexpected and unwanted.
