Abortion: A Controversial Debate on Life and Choice

Pro-choice and pro-life advocates which is people in support, or not in support of abortions, have had contentious disputes throughout America. An Abortion is often described as a premeditated killing of a human being often performed during the first trimesters of pregnancy. The killing of any human being is unlawful yet abortion laws grant women the opportunity to kill a child with no questions asked. Some women believe that it is their right to be able to decide whether they want to abort their child, however they don’t understand the horrible effects of their decision. Abortion may be the key to ending someone’s life, and surly will be the same key that causes harm to the female body. Many people say that Abortions should not be considered lawful considering the fact that it increase a women’s chances of having certain cancers and diseases, will cause more teenagers to be involved in sexual activity, and simply because abortion is a source murder.
In “Abortion Rights Outlined”, it is said that since the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that granted women the right to abortion, many women, including teens have used abortion as a way to escape the responsibilities of being a mother. Sexual activity amongst teens has been an ongoing problem in the United States due to the fact that over the past several decades, more teens are engaging in sexual activities and have become pregnant. With teen sex already being an issue, the opportunity for teens to gain access to abortion drugs has only increased this problem. “Facts and Statistics about Teenage abortion” reported that, “Of all the teenage women that become pregnant, 35% choose to have an abortion rather than bear a child. ...ply educating one about abortions and its negativity can save a child’s life. Infants are just as important as other human beings. Just because they have no understanding of what is going on does not make it okay for their life to be taken away. If someone supports abortion than they support killing ,and Killing is wrong along with abortions.
Abortions should not be considered lawful considering the fact that abortions increase a women’s chances of having certain cancers and diseases, will cause more teenagers to be involved in sexual activity, and because abortion is simply murder. Instead of using abortions as a drug used to relieve the responsibility of having to take care of a child, women should accept the fact that unplanned pregnancies happen. Other methods such as birth control can be used before hand to prevent situations like this from happening.
