I have learnt that role models lead by example their behaviour, actions values are displayed in the workplace for employees to look up to. Employees look up to role models who constantly display high standards of work performance, inspire, enthuse act as positive role models. Their behaviour is emulated by others a long with their work attitudes, they are strong, committed, people oriented leaders. They give the organisation and the employees clear identity and clear objectives, they will lead by example, be visible, pat of the communication loop, empower employees, delegate effectively, encourage new ideas and innovations, they will establish direction and influence others so that employees work toward the same goals. I can ensure i act as a role model for employees. That i have a positive attitude are enthusiastic and involved, accept responsibility, understand myself my personality style, characteristics, behaviours, learning preferences, understand others, develop my own skills and competencies in communication, active listening, interpersonal, cultural awareness, acceptance of and management of diversity, provide appropriate feedback, and reinforcement to workers, are honest, credible and act ethically. i would not take days off work, have extended lunch breaks, be rude to staff members, leave work early. It is the job of a leader to be a role model because people look up to you. Leadership is something I may have to work on a little because I am a shy person, but that doesn’t stop me. Last year, some 6th grade student were going to be selected to give a tour of the school to the 5th graders who were coming to Great Hollow the following year. My teacher was unsure that I would be a good choice because I am quiet in class. But I convinced him to let me be a tour guide and he was impressed with my performance. I was excited and talked to the students about the school and I was happy to be a leader and show the 5th graders what to do. I proved to myself I had
True role models are those who possess the qualities that we would want to have in the near future and those who interest us in a way that make us want to be a better person. They teach us more about ourselves and encourage us to make better choices. A role model is not just someone who is successful, but someone who has had similar experiences that we have had. In the novel To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee demonstrates that Atticus Finch is a true role model. Over the course of the novel, Atticus stands up for his beliefs, respects everyone despite who they are and behaves as a true father. Atticus is truly the ideal role model.

8. If I were the CEO or the founder of a company I would want to be a fair, straightforward and motivated leader. A leader that is not only appreciative of his employees but I will make sure that they are happy and treated well within my organization. The way that I will create this image is by going above and beyond my duties, reaching out and listening to the feedback of my employee because I believe that they are in fact one of the most important part of my business. Holding open to suggestions meetings or doing employee of the month. My mission Statement would be “help me help you”.
I am currently in a leadership position but have often wondered want makes a good leader. From the course I have identified that EQ, IQ, and SQ are the fundamental qualities that make a good leader. I will try and be aware of the needs and emotions of my team and use this to build my team. I remember clearly an example Boniface give us about a company that merged, with two departments that do the same work. The first team leader said to his team all our jobs are on the chopping block because he was worried about his own job while the second

Many Scholars characterize the core qualities and skills necessary for an effective leader. Useem defines leadership as “Creating a vision and translating that vision into actions”. One very important aspect of a great leader is to lead by example. Any person in a position to guide others cannot ask the team to do one thing and act in the complete opposite way. Many people find someone in his/her life to look up to, a role model. There are many different kinds of role models; they can be singers, public speakers, a parent, or even a friend. Role models also are not determined by certain criteria. A role model can be a role model just because they are a leader or have a great talent.
