POPULATION FOCUSED ASSESSMENT SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CONCEPT Population focused health care can be referred to assessing the health needs of a specific population and making health care decisions for the population instead of assessing clients individually. In this context the practice of health care is directed to the entire population rather than individuals, a community is made up of individuals with some common traits and customs. Population focused assessment is the process of assessing the health needs of the population rather than individually.
