Philosophy is the love of wisdom. Philosophy is the pathway of knowledge. It shapes your mind and opens it to a whole other world. What I want to prove is that Philosophy changes your mind. As broad as the topic of Philosophy is, it has different branches on branches in the one subject. If it changes your mind your entire viewpoint on the world changes. Philosophy is not about all these complicating things, it's actually how we tried to make sense of the world.
Philosophy means love of wisdom. The word philosophy comes from the Greek root, Philosophia. Philo meaning love and Sophia meaning wisdom. The study of Logic: The study of providing evidence to prove a valid argument. The study of Aesthetics: The study of Nature, Art, and beauty. Finally the study of Epistemology: “The study of knowledge and how we acquire it” says Paul Kleinman in the book Philosophy 101.Out of all these a big aspects of Philosophy is Logic. Logic was one of the biggest things in Philosophy. Logic one of the main themes in Philosophy is widely used and important. Logic means how to create a good argument. in Philosophy, there is a term called modus ponens. It basically means that P implies Q, therefore p, therefore Q. Two of the most famous Philosopher's were Plato and Aristotle. Plato, he was famous for his many theories and his allegory of the cave. Plato was one of the main contributors to the world of Philosophy. He created a theory of forms kinda similar to what later would be known as atoms. The next Philosopher is Aristotle. He is well known for creating the theme of logic. Logic at first was one major contribution of his in Philosophy.
This man had theories and thoughts that changed the world of Philosophy till this day. Along with his creation of logic, he created Metaphysics. Which was referred to as First Philosophy. He didn't agree with Plato's theory of forms. It was a way for him to give an understanding of the world instead of putting a difference between the sensible world and the world of knowledge, Aristotle created a way without splitting up the visible and nonvisible world. Both of these Philosophers provided these amazing theory's to Philosophy and that's what makes them some of the greatest philosophers of all
