Good Evening, ladies and gentlemen, I was asked should kids today become explorers. Take a moment to think about that, for me that was a no-brainer, of course, we should encourage kids to be explorers. Earlier on in life mankind had a chance to explore, to see what was beyond this land. It would be a challenge, a risk, but their curiosities lead them out of these very lands to find a new hope. It’s in our blood to explore to be adventurous and whatever happened earlier on, on there journey is what has led up until now. There’s no question that we as humans are destined to explore and discover new things, but doesn’t that make you think if we even have anything left to explore, are we encouraging kids to explore when there’s nothing to explore. Kids have a big imagination so to put those of them who are brave enough to the test will help reach more goals. For instance, Steve Jobs Commencement address states, “Woz and I started Apple in my parents' garage when I was 20, we worked hard, in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4,000 employees.” At a young age Steve put his creativity to the test and before his eyes, he saw those small ideas turn out big when you take the time and effort to turn it into a reality. These are the things we should encourage kids to do. Steve Jobs himself also said, “I returned Coke bottles for the 5 cent deposits to buy food with, and I would walk the 7 miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple, I loved it.” Jobs started off with nothing and build himself to the top.
