Have you ever thought about the many ways that a lot of students each day get in trouble and are out of dress code? There are so many ways that kids get in trouble in school due to what they wear. So, what are some ways that you can prevent kids from getting in trouble at school from their outfits? School uniforms can be a way for preventing the large number of students that get in trouble. I think that schools should make everyone wear school uniforms because they are such a big help to schools and students with the dress code and gangs that wearing uniforms creates a better environment for kids to learn in.

Approving attendance for school would benefit so many students that it would give more students the education that they need for jobs or everyday life. When uniforms are mandatory, parents and students do not spend time choosing appropriate outfits for the school day, and it decreases the number of students running late. When you don’t have to worry about which outfit to wear each day it is hard to pick things out for all the school days (school uniforms). Students who feel uncomfortable going to school because others made fun of the way people looked and dressed feels more at ease. Children from lower economic brackets may no longer feel inferior and may be more eager to attend school when they feel more equal to everyone else. Uniforms aid in giving self-esteem by eliminating the external differences that may once have led to students being teased and made fun of just for their clothes. It is important to make sure that everyone at school feels like they belong and safe at schools so when they stop showing up to school it makes a big impact on their education. One of their arguments to support their thoughts would be that school uniforms don’t school uniforms do not improve attendance, academic preparedness, or exam results. A Study from David L. Brunsma PhD, Professor of Sociology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University researched on if it would improve either attendance, academic preparedness, or exam results and there are no effects of school uniforms on performance on second grade reading and mathematics examinations, as well as on a 10th grade reading, mathematics, science, and history examinations. Wearing uniforms won't help with academic preparedness and peer attitudes toward school either. Brunsma also discovered a negative effect on wearing uniforms to increase their academic achievements (why school uniforms). It is a great idea for schools to implement a policy on school uniforms because statistics show that students who wear uniforms make better grades. Additionally, male students are not distracted by what female students are (or aren't) wearing. Moreover, students feel a sense of fairness with one another as they are all wearing the same things. When students are at one with one another, their confidence soars, which leads to better academic performance. Student uniforms help reduce the amount of bullying, and students who would normally be bullied now have a much better disposition while at school.
Each day school is a nightmare for you! Kids laugh at your clothing and your style. They may pick on you or even bully you. Your clothes are not cute or “in style,” and students judge you for that. This makes you feel dreadful and horrible because some families can’t afford expensive and fancy outfits. This is one, of the many, reasons why some schools are switching to school uniforms. As an example, 19% of schools have switched to uniforms in 2011-2012.(“School Uniforms”) Some argue that they take away freedom of expression, while others think that uniforms stop bullying and have many other beneficial effects. I firmly believe that school uniforms are essential to schools because they expand school safety, put a plug on bullying, and substitute broken dress codes violations.
Children tend to break off into “cliques” and uniforms could possibly help unite students. Finding creative ways to express their individuality through other outlets other than fashion can help children forge friendships based on their common interests. In conclusion, I feel that school uniforms are something all schools should really consider implementing in their policy. All of these points show that they can be budget-friendly, help children focus and lower the barriers children can build up because of merely what they are wearing.

School uniforms have improved many things in different schools. Peer pressure is in schools all over America. Some peer pressure comes from what to wear to impress others in the school. Bad behaviors are also a situation is schools. Some people act a certain way to impress others in their school. Which can cause the school to be unsafe. In Long Beach, CA, after two years of having the new expectations of uniforms (K-8), reports of assault and battery in the district's schools decreased by 34%, school fights went down by 51% and sex offenses where dropped by 74%. Some student's parents or care takers might not be able to buy the students clothes often so the student or students could be bullied because of this. With uniforms students wouldn't be so focused on their appearance and would focus more on the education. School uniforms make getting around in the mornings way more easy because the students know exactly what they are wearing for the next day of school. Studies have shown that when students wear school uniforms the social classes disappear and a lot of students start getting along better.
