For, the leading cause to car wrecks are because of teens, but the more i read in the article it says, “sixteen and seventeen year olds represent only about 2 percent of all drivers in the United States, but they are involved in eleven percent of all motor vehicle crashes” (Paragraph 4), and those are low number what about the other eightynine percent of crashes, what are they cause by. Teenagers may be unsafe at times but they can be safe when it's needed and when they are having fun it's unsafe but that doesn’t mean they aren’t being careful at the same time. Teen drivers have a history of being unsafe drivers, so precautions have been made to limit wrecks caused by them. The history involving teens is full of shocking statistics. One of them is night driving and it’s usually between nine and midnight. The crash rate is twice as high at night than during the day. The article says “Teens are more likely to have an accident while driving a car filled with their friends.” , but it also depends on if your friends are immature. Another reason why teens are dangerous is because they don’t have enough hours as most adults. Precautions have been made to help teenagers safe while driving, included the graduated license and also just general suggestions on how they can keep themselves safe. To keep most teens safe the article says, “Take a driver’s education course.”(Paragraph 15) , and that help them with driving safe and watching their surroundings at all times and to learn how to park better. Teens should also cut back on night driving so much and it will be safer to them if they don’t drive as much at night. They shouldn’t have more than one or two passengers in the car at all times. They should have a seat belt on before they start the car and they should not drink and drive and do drugs and drive and if they did all that, teens should be a lot
