Trim-Down Diet

The easiest way to shed those extra, unwanted pounds is by consuming vegetables and fruits on a daily basis. But, wait a minute you may say . . . “Are you really suggesting that I give up all my favorite snack foods – chips, candy, popcorn and ice cream to start chomping on baby carrots and slices of green bell peppers or even an apple?”

Yes, I am suggesting that you give up all the junk food that is filled with empty calories; but, I am not suggesting that you “chomp” on anything!

You can trim down and consume plenty of fruits and vegetables with their abundance of nutrients and very few calories by following the steps outlined below, which includes adding freshly-made juice to your diet each day.

For example, an excellent juice combination that can be added to a healthy breakfast or for a mid-afternoon snack is a cup of spinach, carrot, and apple juice - less than 50 calories. Beets, celery, spinach, and tomatoes make another great morning juice, while fresh grapefruit and orange juice will help satisfy your sweet tooth in the mid-afternoon. …show more content…

Studies have shown how a low metabolic rate is closely linked to a low consumption of nutrients; and, both are linked to weight gain – that ever-increasing waistline, which is also a biomarker for an increased risk of developing heart disease. You can remove both problems (extra pounds and risk of heart disease) by eliminating processed, packages foods from your diet and replacing them with fresh fruit and vegetable juices.

The Trim-Down Diet is not intended to be an extreme weight loss diet, it is meant to do exactly as the name implies – to help you “trim-down” in a healthy and reasonable
