Generally, when people use the expression “I’m such a potato” to describe how they are lazy, they use it in a negative connotation. However, potatoes have been the hero to so many civilizations and the psychological comfort of the whole human race. They’ve given us solace for centuries. Potatoes deserve a statue of their own. After all that they’ve done for us, it is only right to acknowledge their glory and heroism in the form of a golden effigy.
When we are hungry, no, starving, it grows even in the rockiest and inhospitable soil. It never lets us down, unlike our group members, I mean public transportation system. Potatoes are so simple and effortless to grow, compared to the delicate tomatoes that require artificial supports, just to keep them from falling over, or the grapes in Napa Valley that need classical music to grow.
