Have you ever been bullied and felt hopeless? In home, school, offices, and community, some people are experiencing bullying. It is an act of threat or abuse to other people which may cause them harm and sudden change in their behavior. According to a particular site, the www.stopbullying.gov, bullying is an unwanted, aggressive attitude that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. It is not only happening once, but it could be repeated whenever they want to. In addition, it shows that they have no self-control and respect for others. We should not tolerate such disrespectful act done by some people who were lacking of guidance and control. Doing a simple step could make a big leap for the victims of bullying to move forward and leave the ungrateful memories behind. Our acts in preventing bullying have a big contribution for the betterment of the affected individual’s situation. We often see someone who was bullied in any ways, yet we are letting it pass by. The cases of bullying should be minimized in the society through discipline and proper guidance, because such greatly affect someone’s ability to think, capability to act on something confidently, and courage of the person to show the right emotions. Showing our true emotions depend on how people treats us. If some people are making us feel comfortable with them, we could show our real emotions. But in the case of bullying, the person’s courage to show the right emotion is affected. Happiness is difficult to attain for them. A person is becoming uncertain of what he/she truly feels. He/she does not know if the real emotions should be shown to other people or should just keep it to self. When you encounter a person who became a victim of bullying, he/she is scared to show the real feelings because of the possibility that there will be a repetition of experiences to him/her. So you see, bullying takes happiness away from a person.
