But the point here is to understand that career change isn’t always the answer for unhappiness in your job. Just because you are unhappy in your current role, doesn’t mean you should move on to a completely new industry. Don’t be disillusioned in thinking the answer is always career change.
You might not really be unhappy about the industry or your style of work. You shouldn’t look for another industry just because it seems popular or because your close friends are swapping careers. If someone tells your talent would better fit another industry, don’t just drop your career and follow their advice.
The desire to change careers must come from you. You must have the drive and passion to pursue this new adventure because your heart and mind tells you to. You can’t go after a career change purely because others are doing it or telling you to do it. Prestige, money and fame are external factors – you shouldn’t let them determine what you should do. Sure, you might start making more or become famous but these are not a reason for pursuing change.
The problem with listening to external factors is that it will eventually just come down to you. You won’t succeed in your career if you don’t actually have the passion – you’ll soon find yourself unhappy again, whishing you could do something different. It’s not a bad idea to take note of what is happening in the world around you and to listen to people’s opinions but don’t allow them to be in the driving
Just because you are young or little does not mean you should stop following your dream. Just because you are a boy or girl does not mean you have to go into a certain career field. A company that is showing a good example of boys and girls choosing whatever career path they want is "Barbie." In "Forrest Gump" he was running away from bullies with his leg braces on and Jenny yelled "Run Forrest Run." His leg braces broke and he was running without them. Also in "Forrest Gump" Forrest followed his career path and some of his careers were football, shrimp fishing, and the army.

The career I choose to pursue is the career of Business Administration. This career consists of running a small or big business and being able to run it and be capable of making small or very important decisions. A business runs and depends on the people and how people spend their money. If people spend their money responsibly and they know how to administrate their money and will make the economy to be stable and be good. As we all know, the economy has been really bad for the past year and it has made millions of people loose their homes and their jobs. The economy is a big factor in this career and it could be a huge problem that can be faced for a long period of time and more than once.
Possibly the biggest choice of any person's life remains what vocation to go into. Coming to the point of my current career choice has been a long road. My idea of what a career is or should be has changed with circumstances and age. According to Weintraub (2005), “the average worker spends only four years in a job and will have 12 jobs in as many as five career fields during his or her working life.” (para. 1) My first career was marriage and motherhood followed by a surprising healthcare career. What the future holds waits to be seen. With a bachelor of science degree in information technology the options are wide open.
