It’s amazing how our mind works with the help of memories. Memory lane brings out a sense of cherishment as I shift through my childhood. One particular memory comes to mind, a birthday to be specific where I was the first one amongst my friends to get a personal computer as a gift. My friends and I would often spend our evenings playing ‘Dangerous Dave. While my friends were solely interested in fun and winning, I realized that my best interest lied in knowing how the game worked. It amused me how the usage of the direction keys would make ‘Dave’ jump over fire, shoot at the monsters, collect keys and open doors! My reflexes in responding during class, ability to communicate my thoughts clearly and consistency in grades brought about appreciation from my teachers. The attributes of leadership, decision making and offering selfless help, I believe, made me the class representative at school. A top position in the school badminton and table tennis team boosted my confidence levels. I continued to chase my passion and my love towards computer science blossomed as I became familiar with the World Wide Web. The Internet and its applications made me live the role of a young scientist with a quenchless thirst for understanding logic. The project involved designing a platform facilitating faculty to enroll students, monitor attendance, upload learning scripts, conduct examinations, evaluate results and issue certificates. My efforts paid off; its inclusion as a departmental project for conducting quizzes is a milestone in my journey of programming.
On graduating from GIT, I was placed in India’s top most IT service provider – WIPRO. As my passion burgeoned for IT, I had to make a choice between higher education and work experience. I went with the latter, keeping in my mind that the work I do at WIPRO would bestow upon me the knowledge of how things work in the practical world. For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to be an encouraging influence for others. As a child I was very shy and unsure of myself partly due to my overwhelming fear of others and feelings of inadequacy. Nevertheless deep inside I knew of my true worth but was afraid to show the world who I really was because I may be rejected. Those feelings of rejection kept me from being who I am and sent me down a dark, lonely, and destructive path.
Since the time I started taking computer science classes during high school, I started facing projects that challenged me mentally. But, one of the most difficult projects I faced in my life was in AP Computer Science.
In school, I have participated in two I.T. competitions with the Royal Bank of Scotland, the first of which provided a solution to Macintosh emulation on the Amiga platform, and this year, I am leading a team of five pupils to design a network solution and website for the new school here in Ullapool. I was also marketing director of a Young Enterprise team, gaining a credit pass in the exam, and producing a tourist brochure that has been a commercial success. I found that an invaluable learning experience due to the teamwork involved. My interest in computers goes right back to when I was eight and I used to write my own little stories on my mum's laptop. Now, not only have I got experience in using a computer, I have learned a substantial amount of HTML, through A Level ICT and self-teaching. In this project, my team implemented personalized evaluation and education for students simply by playing a game which had questions related to the concept to be taught. The web based application will be useful in improving the level of education as well as augmenting it with personalized attention by the professor. This project also aims to improve the student teacher interaction and will be implemented as a web application by using web programming languages and clustering algorithm. Another notable project was Police Department Management System which involved the digitization of police records in my sophomore year.

An 11 years old kid lying on the ground in a dark room crying, shaking, and trembling with intense pain in both of his ears. The pain was similar to as if someone was hitting with some sharp object inside his ears and every time he would feel the shock of pain, he would pull both of his ears while enduring the pain. The pain would raise every couple of second and with each shock of pain, the kid would lose part of the hope that he had of surviving.
