When I graduate from high school, physical therapy is the career that caught my attention and something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. Physical therapists main job is to help injured or feeble people improve their movement and stay positive throughout the recovery process. The key reason I want to pursue this career is because I truly love helping people. An eye opening quote I found says, “I want to inspire people. I want someone to look at me and say, “Because of you I didn’t give up” (“Physical+therapy+quotes - Google Search."). Although it has takes long hours of toil to become a physical therapist, the wait is well worth it once initial pay ranges anywhere between $57,060-$84,020. With more understanding and time on the job, the amount keeps increasing. Imagine making $119,790 just based off experience and higher levels of education. Jobs similar to physical therapy include chiropractors and audiologists. Chiropractors make about $64,440 and audiologists make $74,890. Past job market statistics indicate that past employment for physical therapists is about 204,000. As of today there are about 210,900 current jobs on the market. The 2020 future job market looks bright for the physical therapy field with an immense 34% increase in jobs totaling about 282,700 overall.
