S is for Soccer It was in the fall of october in 2015. It was a crisp chilly night at 6:55 at night. We had 5 minutes left of the game and I was an offensive player. My face was as red as a tomato, my body was as drenched as a kid who just got out of the pool, and I was as hot as if it was 90 degrees outside. I was running down the field dribbling the ball with the other offensive players. The 4 defensive players they had charging at us. I passed the ball to my left just as a defensive player ran into me. I fell backwards almost like it was in slow motion. I could feel my feet slipping out from under me as i went backwards my long brown hair flying up and hitting me in the face. The green and brown ground coming in contact with my back as
One incident that happened to me that change how I thought about sports was when I first started playing soccer. It all started when my mom said that I should join a sport to get me more active. It took me awhile to choose soccer at first because there were so many sports to choose from. I told my mom I wanted to play soccer. She signed me up to play for a non competitive league (GYSA) so I can learn the basics of the sport. She also told me to play I would have to maintain good grades. After hearing that i always tried my best in soccer and school.
While I was in high school, I joined the soccer team. There were 15 girls in a team. There were three girls, whose last name was Lepcha. Who think that they play better soccer then everybody in a team and they do play well but not good as they thought they were. They had started playing soccer for one or two years ago. There were two other girls, whose name was Sabina and Dilu. They were my best friends. My one friend Sabina had played soccer for quite long and she played well but she did not have an attitude as Lepcha did. My second friend was Dilu; she was not that good at soccer. It was her first time playing soccer just like me. I do not know other people who were on a soccer team but the one thing I know about them was that it was their
When i Was at the mosque outside on the court while i was playing a 3 on 3 basketball game. And the teams was me, bosh and Salah vs Abu, Sunny and Musa. We started to play, and my team was down by 8 points. So i was kind of mad at my team that we was down by so much. So i told them let me take over and try to get us back in the game. So they let me take over and we went on a 7-0 run and out of nowhere we was only down by one point. Then we made a turn over, then they got the ball and they passed it to abdi. And abdi got through his defender and bosh stepped up and tried to block his shot but he head faked bosh and i step and try to block his shot and i jumped up tried to block his shot and my knee cap moved out of
With the rest of the basketball girls from the surrounding area, I began summer basketball camp. There was a basketball tournament where we played 4 games in one day. During the game an opponent stole the ball, so I chased her down the court. Once I reached her under their basket, I tripped over her foot, fell, and heard something snap. I was absolutely freaking out. The referees ran down to me. All I could say was “Something popped! Something popped!” I couldn’t bend my leg at the knee, it was scary. I was brought to the main lobby to walk it off. I couldn’t bend my leg for two weeks.
Riley, our starting quarterback, placed his hands on the helmet of the right tackle, as he did every play. He called the play looking straight into my eyes signaling the pass was coming to me. My entire body tingled with excitement as I ran to the left of the field. I could feel my cleats dig into the soft, freshly cut field as I took my stance. I looked up into the sky seeing only white lights which created the stage for the football field. As I brought my head down slowly to see the white eyes of the defender across from me, my heart beat slowed and I was still, in peace for the short moment. The quarterback hiked the ball and I began in pursuit; shifting, juking to get away from my defender. We were side-by-side running down the field as the ball was thrown into the air, coming strait to me. I jumped up and became airborne, snagging it from the lit up, night sky. Falling back with the ball secured into my arms, I felt my defenders full weight push into my left leg. A snap rang out as we hit the ground together and I looked down to see a large bump sticking straight left out of my
The horn blew and the game started, Dedham won the face off and is running down the field at a faster pace than I was used to. They shot the ball! I couldn’t move my stick quick enough to save it, so I threw my body in front of it and got hit right in the shoulder. It hurt a lot, but what I hadn’t realized was that it hit my shoulder and reflected ten feet away from the net where my player caught it and ran down the field and scored. The other team didn’t know what hit them. It was the half now and the score was three to nothing in our favor. Our couch told us that we needed to keep up the good work.
I have dreams. I dream to be the best I can possibly be and to be satisfied with what I’ve done in this thing called life. When I have something I want to do quite seriously, I strive to be my utmost best and push away everything that tries to hinder me. And that's true for when it comes to school, home, or all of the above and even more.
Introduction Have you ever wanted something so bad that you couldn’t go a day without thinking about it? I have. Since elementary school, one of my truest passions has been soccer. Growing up all would ever do is watch professional soccer games on TV and imagine myself being in the stands with other fans cheering on my favorite team. Every moment of free time rain or shine, I would be outside at the nearest park and field playing until the sun went down.
The sights and scenes which people witness throughout their lifetime can create an everlasting impression upon them. Whether a particular setting is a personal spectacle to treasure or an ordinary space shared by many, the emotional impact of viewing a particular scene is where it’s true significance resides. In my case, I was most deeply affected by a scene when I first laid eyes on a soccer pitch. There is nothing extraordinary about the green patch of land designed to host a soccer game at Pete Pallitto Field. However, the memories I made their and the people I shared them with makes that ordinary field a special scene in my mind.
I want to share how soccer has become my favorite sport of all time. Soccer is a great sport because it is versatile and very fun. Firstly, soccer is a great sport because it helps build several skills. Furthermore, soccer is a great way to socialize and hang out with friends. Also, soccer is a great way to stay in shape and have fun exercising.
Public complains event: When I was child, my family used to support a soccer team which I was not sure why they choose this specific team. I chose to support the same team that they supported. I didn't want to go against them and support another team because that might have caused a conflict between us. At the same time I was not sure if this was a good team to support or not as far as my family is good I goo with that. To be liked and close to my family or my group was all that mattered whether they were right or wrong I just was not able to be different.
I am a soccer player. I am relaxed when it comes to everything but soccer. I am an easy going person I am a leader when it comes to some stuff but not all. I am a very quiet person but I am strong willed. I am a slacker when it comes to school work but when I am outside of school I work really hard and can get a lot of stuff done.
...ng my arm, a loud snap came from the sound of my arm and their centers's hand. I had been fouled and the whistle had been blown, but the ball was still in the air I watched as it made three bounces on the rim, BOUNCE, BOUNCE, BOUNCE, BOUNCE went the ball. Then after a suspenseful four seconds of rolling on the rim, it finally tipped in. I looked up with a smile at my coach who gave me a smile and a thumbs up right back at me. SWISH went my free throw. As I jogged back to the end of the court I could tell this would be a good game.
I never knew what to expect when I was going to watch the games. Would there be goals? Would there be controversy? Would the team I wanted to win succeed? Would it be a close game fought down to the wire? I guess that’s why I love this time every four years.
The play was "Red 334"which is a run to our halfback, me, out of our dive series. I crouched over the ball as I jetted past the quarterback and ran the play so we could observe the changes we needed to make. I let out a sigh of relief because we were finished with the most dreaded part of practice; well, only until someone complained about not knowing their job on one of our pass plays. Coach Nelson undoubtedly decided we needed to run through the final pass play before we perfected our defense. The play was quietly called in the huddle with intentions of getting it right. I ran the play through my mind while I tried to remember what the snap count was and what I was supposed to do for that play. The ball was snapped and I jolted to the left of our team's quarterback to set up his backside protection. Out of my peripheral vision, I noticed the defensive end raging toward the quarterback. I intensely stepped into him while lowering my body and exploded through his shoulder pads sending him stumbling into the line's pass protection.
