Personal Narrative: My Trip To Tampa Florida

Have you ever had a day that you never wanted to end? The soothing sound of waves slowing crashing on the beach, the sweet smell of the salty pacific, freezing cold water nipping at your toes. That’s my paradise. Tampa Florida has been part of my life growing up, my grandparents have always lived there during the snowy winter months in Michigan. My family always travels to Florida to visit them over spring break and we always have an amazing time. But the spring break of 2012 was by far the best. Trekking to the beach every morning and soaking up the sun, playing volleyball and swimming with my family, venturing to new places and just exploring the city. I could not think of a more perfect vacation.

It’s just one of the many great places we went to as we were strolling the beach as the sun set and the day closed. We walked in and the smell was just mouth watering, a waitress quickly seated up and got us our drinks. We all sat and talked waiting for our food, taking silly pictures of each other, reading the hilarious signs hanging from the walls. Our food arrived very fast compared to the number of people in that little shack restaurant. I had ordered king crab legs with melted butter. I had never had them before so it was exciting to try something new. The crab legs were so delicious, they seemed to melt in my mouth. I had enjoyed seafood many times but not king crab, and after that I concluded that nothing tastes quite as amazing as that. We took up the bill to pay, stopping to add a Crabby Bill’s t-shirt to our purchase. It seemed like a great memento for my brother! Starting out to the car, something caught my eye and as I was opened the door I admired the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever set my eyes on. The colors were so vibrant and pure, pink the color of cotton candy, orange like a carrot plucked straight from the ground and a red as rich as the flames in a fireplace. I couldn’t believe the beautiful sight. I paused to to take a quick picture, so I would have that vision forever, and proceeded to our car. The world is such an amazing
