Personal Narrative: My Passion Of Football

Football and sports in general were always a passion of mine growing up. I would always wake up in the early morning to watch the live Sportscenter before school. During football season in the fall I would wake up on Saturday morning to watch college game day. Fall is the best time of the year for sports. Basketball season begins, major league baseball postseason, and most importantly football season is in full swing. I had always played soccer from a very young age until after my last soccer season, I decided to play football; however, I was not very good at first but I continued to work throughout high school, I turned out to be a pretty good player, Football became the best choice I have ever made.

In the 7th grade all of the biddy league Newark teams came together to form a middle school team. I was ready to play another year of football. I was so excited when we got new Nike uniforms for my first year of middle school football. We did not win very many games during my first year of middle school, it was not everything I hoped it to be. I never got in the games, I was always standing on the sidelines watching the game. I was excited for high school football. Unfortunately, about half way through the season our coach quit on us and we had to practice and play with the varsity team. That took away from a lot of our practice time, we never got in at practice or the games. We won one game my freshman year. I hardly played at all during my freshman season but I knew that it would get better and that we were only freshman. After freshman year I started actually putting work in to make myself better. I became more dedicated to what I was doing. During my sophomore season I started offense and defense on the junior varsity team. I had never really played a lot so when I started to get in and play it seemed like I fell in love with the game all over again. The JV team won three games that season which was the most I had ever won at
