Today must've been the busiest day I've ever experienced at this office. There were so many patients. They all waited at least 3 hours just to be seen by the doctor. The good thing is the office closed at noon so everyone usually was able to make it their shift at work. I got a lot of experience assisting in extractions. I worked with the same doctor I usually work with. She's very nice to me and always requests me when I come in to assist. I interacted with the hygienist, dental assistants (which were just pre-dental volunteers), and the front desk assistant. Everyone had such a good spirit today. There is a dentist that often acts as a dental assistant, which makes things easier because she teaches us about how to prep for procedures and

I was initially skeptical about interviewing a school administrator concerning leadership qualities because she is consistently ridiculed about the decisions she has made for the school. However, after conducting my interview, I was happy to hear that her views of leadership were consistent with a lot of our readings. I also learned that despite what I have seen in the past, my principal recognizes important leadership characteristics and works to be an ideal leader. Despite my concerns, my principal was excited to talk with me about leadership qualities and how she viewed herself as a leader.

I instantly fell in love with working with the children, but fell out of love with my major at the time, education. I started to contemplate and do research on what I really wanted to major in. During this time of feeling misplaced, I realized that I was passionate about working with the children in our after school program who have behavior issues. My leadership experience involves National Honors Society, as well as interning at a veterinary clinic.
