The person who I think is heroic, would be my dad. He is the one who has been there since day one. If I needed anything he will drop what he is doing and come help me. He teaches me lessons that help me in my life. If it wasn’t for my dad I wouldn’t be who I am today. I have learned responsibility and the value of a dollar. My dad would give me the shirt off his back or his last dollar. A hero is someone who takes chances or sacrifices something of someone they cherish dearly. My dad would risk his own life for me and my siblings. He talks me through things that keep me down, he brings me back up. A hero is also someone who can be a friend and is there for you no matter what in life. My dad isn’t just my father or guardian he’s my best friend and my hero. Without my dad I wouldn’t have the rough I have over my head or the shoes on my feet. Without my dad I wouldn’t have my truck on the road. Without my dad I wouldn’t know what a job or responsibility is. Without my dad I would probably be the mean kid who bully’s. Without my dad I wouldn’t know how to respect people. Without my dad my life wouldn’t be as fun and happy as it is. My dad is my hero for all these reasons. …show more content…
To be a hero you don’t have to be famous or save someone. My dad is my hero because of the person he is. He is caring, loving, and one of the bravest men I know. A hero is someone who makes a great leader, someone who people look up to. My dad is my role model one day I want to be like him. I want to be the hardworking man my dad is. I want to be that person that doesn’t put myself first. My dad is the one who sacrifices things daily just to get me what I need. A hero is also supportive for any and everything no matter what. My dad would give up a day or a weekend of going to the lake to come watch me wrestle in a tournament. My dad is the definition of a
Father, computer server engineer, alcoholic, and felon. My dad, Jason Wayne DeHate, has influenced my life, not only genetically, but he has also improved my character and creativity throughout the years. Beginning at age two, I was cultured with profanity spit from rappers such as Eminem. While my mother was at work we had multiple videotaped “jam sessions” and coloring time that allowed for the foundation of friendship we have today. The jam sessions consisting of me mumbling and stumbling in front of the television, as he was “raising the roof” from his lazyboy. Since then, he has taught me how to rollerblade, change wiper blades, and play my favorite sport, tennis. Along with influencing my leisure activities and the music I enjoy, his prominent personality allows me to grow as a person. Being the only male figure in my immediate family, I
Who is your hero? If that question was asked to a group of people, some might think of loved ones or family, and some may talk about doctors, firemen, or even a teacher. However, most would probably say their hero was some celebrity or star athlete. While some celebrities and athletes can justifiably be labeled "heroes", there are some people who may appear to be heroic, but lead a completely different life off the field.
Joseph Campbell studied ancient greek mythology for many years. Joseph filled each stage of the journey very well. He accepted all the challenges he got and all the help he needed. He really knew how to fulfill all those stages. Like everyone goes through a heroic journey everyone has to have a story to tell. My story is very contrasty from Joseph’s because he really knew what all the stages meant. My hero's journey consists of my threshold crossing which was when I started depending on myself more than I did on others, my helpers/mentors like my parents, teachers,my sister and many more influential people in my life and my rewards were getting awards in school, having a nice family, and many friends.
From small town Paoli, Indiana, born 40 years ago was the day my biggest hero was born. That amazing person is my mom, Linda Tedrow. She defines my definition of a hero she's the one person in this world that I know will always be there for me and my siblings until her last day no matter what. My definition of a hero is someone who is an inspiration to others, someone who is always there to talk when you need someone, and someone who is always there for you when you hit a bump in the road.
Dr. D is a cardiothoracic surgeon. He was my hero. He may well still be, even though he is a throw-back to the days when I was more concerned about science than symbolism.
Because it seems like everyone has a hero they admire, everyone should have a chance to write about theirs. My mom didn't take me more than a minute to think of all the things to write about her. A hero to me is someone who is brave, humble, and someone who is willing to try something new. Since she has done almost anything for me, I will tell you all about why my mom is my hero.
My dad is always happy to help. He always has time to assist me with whatever I need. Sometimes when I don't comprehend a certain thing on my homework, he works through the problem with me until I fully understand how to solve it myself. He is very inquisitive and is always showing me diverse ways to solve my problems If I have to do chores around the house, he is always the first one I call. He and I work together as a team and finish them. Also, I speak two languages, so it is a little hard when I am talking to my parents to not get the two mixed up. Luckily, my dad helps me by correcting me if I mispronounce a word or phrase and reminds every time I make that same mistake so it sticks in my head forever. That way when I'm talking to my grandparents or other family members, I know how to speak properly.
A hero is someone who has a positive impact on your life. Heroic attributes include loyalty, honesty, and strength of character. To me a hero would be someone that you can trust, someone you enjoy being around, and someone who is outgoing. A good example of a hero would be Emma Kinney, my mom. She is very understanding, forgiving and an amazing role model to my sisters and I.
My mother is my hero because she has taught me to treat others with compassion, thoughtfulness, and generosity. She taught me that those values were important in the best way, by living her own life according to them. She didn’t just tell me about values she felt were important, she lived by them. I have always admired my mother and felt so blessed to have her in my life. I know I am a better person for having her for a mother.
My Father's Life “The truth is that the life of an individual is not more interesting than the life of a whole nation. And another truth is that not everyone is able to describe his/her life the way great writers do.” This was my father’s first response to my request to know more about his past life. My father, Ruben Aslanian, was born on April 12, the year 1951, in a small village of Abkhazia called Mteesoubanee. Abkhazia was part of the Georgia republic during the mid nineteenth century and Georgia was one of the fourteen republics of the outdated Soviet Union.
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Our whole lives, we have heroes. As small children, our heroes might be our mom or dad, or even a super hero we watch on televison. As teenagers or young adults, our heroes might be a movie character, or a celebrety. We might have a "real-life" hero that we know and talk to everyday. However, we may have a celbrity hero who has impacted our lives in one way or another. For some people their real-life hero might be someone like Jillian Micheals who encouraged a major life change. Heroes come in many different forms, some more personal than others. We will always have people in our lives that we view as a hero, whether we realize it, or not. Sometimes, our heroes let us down and we beging to rethink what it really means to have a hero.
Everyone has hero, but as for me, I don’t simply have one hero nor can I write about just one. My heroes are two separate people combined as one, and that’s my parents. My parents have been there for me ever since I can remember. Since the time I was born, from the time I graduated High School, then being a College student twice now. They have never in my 21 years of life gave up or showed weakness towards me. My parents are caregivers, because they never fail to let me know they have my back. They are supportive, because they are always there in the choices I make in life. Last but not least they are wise, because they continue to teach me every day, and help me continue to path I have created for myself so far.
When asked who their hero is, most people respond with the name of an athlete or an actress/actor. When asked who my hero is I would have to respond with a simple three letter word: mom. My mother has been the greatest inspiration in my life and is the main reason that I am where I am and who I am today.
My dad is a hero to me because he shows me strength he explains the bad choices he has made in his life so that I can make the good choices. If it wasn’t for my mom and Jesus, my dad wouldn’t be who he is today. My dad is a man of honor to My Lord and Savior. He shows me that if I ever need help with a decision, I need to either go to him or ask God for help. When my dad started working here in Greeley, he, my mom, and I all had to make a decision to move up here. My mom and I didn’t get to see my dad a lot in Trinidad, so that’s when my mom said we were going to move up here to be him.
My parents are brave; they will do anything for my happiness. Not only mine, but also their friends, and families. My father has many friends, and he always helps them whenever they need them most. Without my parents, I probably will not survive. Heroes usually best described as selfless, brave, and often inspiring. A friend of my mother just heard a bad news from her family back in Indonesia, telling that her father has a cancer that already spread in his body. She has to go back and visit her father, but can't afford the plane ticket. My mom not hesitantly let her borrow her money for the ticket. During The May riot in Indonesia, everybody in my complex tried to run away since the natives were going to kill the Chinese. But, My father and couple of his friends ordered them to stay and fight back, and it worked. The natives ran when they saw a crowd of Chinese trying to kill them back. My parents are the most inspiring people for me. They taught me things that I need to know like drugs, and other important things. My father always inspired me to do the right things, to be strong, and be independent. I am sure that all parents that did a lot of things for their children are heroes.
