Before practice, I waited anxiously outside the uniform closet as Varsity chose their jersey number. I was not expecting to get my jersey that day, as I did not yet tryout for the school softball team because of a previous injury. I stood with the team, joking around with the girls. I was laughing and having fun, but inside, I was bummed. I was not part of the team, and I did not feel apart of the team. It made me feel a little uncomfortable.
