Graduating high school was really exciting for me, but at the same time I was apprehensive because I knew it was a significant milestone in my life and I didn't know what to expect with college. However, the freedoms provided by college ending up being wonderful. I love being able to completely manage my time on my own and make my own decisions. I graduate college next May. If I were not going to grad school I would probably be dreading it because I don't think I'm ready for the "real world" and having a 9-5 job yet. So, since I am continuing my education it's going to be exciting since I will be moving to a new state and meeting new people.
Walking into Walnut Hills High School right now would have anyone thinking the just walked into the middle of a tornado. Everyone you look there are students running in and out of doors, in and out of cars, and most certainly either turning in missing assignments or retaking tests. There is only one way for you to explain all this ciaos, Senior Year, the year that all teens await with so much excitement and ambition and the year that every single hour long study dates pays off. For the class of 2021 this isn’t just their final year at Walnut Hills this is the year that friends separate and head off to their different university to follow their dreams.
High school is meant to be the time of your life, but for most seniors just like me it can be some of the most emotional and crazy time. The things in my past make me who I am today, and the things I do now are the first footsteps into the future. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these past four years, and I still have so much learning to do. This is my high school story; the good, bad, and the ugly.
When I (Tony Johnson) was younger, I found myself going in the wrong direction. My parents constantly warn me to get all the education that I could especially my high school diploma. I started hanging out and making some bad decision. For this reason, I drop out of high school in 1983, not long after I was being arrested for Robbery. The thing that bothered me the most was letting my parents down. I always knew that they (parents) raised me to have integrity. I will never forget the day I received my sentence (jail) because of the disappointment in their eyes. I knew then that I did not like seeing my parents hurting because of my doing. Throughout my four years in high school I have been fortunate enough to fulfill many of my aspirations and my thirst for knowledge. One goal that I would like to achieve is to become an international attorney. I have aligned my involvement in specific academic and extra-curricular activities to aid me preparing for the long road between my present situation and the day I pass the bar exam. Through my high school activities I have learned three virtues that I have deemed necessary to achieve my goal, passion, self-discipline, and perseverance.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is to never give up and that everything in life happens for a reason. Throughout my entire life my dreams have been put down by society, wether it was a coach, friend, or family member. Everything I gain is because of me and only me. When I started my first year of high school, I knew I wasn't ready to maintain my academics, my social life, and my sports schedule all at once. I was completely intimidated by everything occurring in my life at the time.
Thank you for all that you did when I was in second grade. You have taught me a lot. I still wish that you were a teacher so, then my brother could have had you. Then he would have had as much fun as I did when I was in your class. I remember all the fun times I had with you. Do you remember on some Fridays you would call your husband to find out the song so we would win? I sure do.
Im worried about a lot of things and one is seeing the real world you are no longer a kid you have to be on your own and i'm scared that the college that i want to go to might not want me ,but let's put that aside first after reading 100 things to do after graduation it made me realize that i want to get my drivers license so if i get pulled over i could have the right information i need instead of going to jail or getting a ticket and i want to be able to tell people i did something useful instead of ruining my life and start out strong.
In addition, high school was a time to explore, whereas, college is a time to experience. From childhood to adulthood. There is so much liberty in college both spiritually and physically. Our parents are not around to make to monitor our every move. My social life increased
Let’s flash back in time to before our college days. Back to then we had lunch trays filled with rubbery chicken nuggets, stale pizza, and bags of chocolate milk. A backpack stacked with Lisa Frank note books, flexi rulers, and color changing pencils. The times where we thought we wouldn’t make it out alive, but we did. Through all the trials and tribulations school helped build who I am today and shaped my future. From basic functions all the way to life-long lessons that helped shape my character.
Graduation from high school is an exciting time because it marks the end of my childhood as well as a beginning into a new journey. I contemplate these past years with appreciating for all of the memories and life lessons made. I believe I learned a lot about what I want to do in the future; but the future is not completely certain and neither am I. I continuously admire my family, especially my parents, for all that they provide for me. Listening to stories from my family about when I was younger helped me realize how blessed I am to have them. I am grateful for the life I live and for those who are a part of it.
Through out life people go through so many hardships. Whether it be good or bad there is always something that comes out of the situation. One of the most exciting but yet scariest events would be graduation. For a lot of people, graduating from high school is a goal. It takes a lot of time and effort to achieve that goal. Graduation is an exciting time in a person’s life, especially a high school graduation. When I think of family and friends gathering together to celebrate a joyous occasion, I feel I accomplished my strongest goal. It never occurred to me that graduation would be the end of my youth and the start of adulthood. Graduating from high school was an influential event that gave me an altered outlook on my existence. Life before graduation, preparing for graduation day, and commencement day overwhelmed me for reality.
It was one of the most exciting and nerve racking days of our lives. Although we were finally leaving high school, the feeling of being unsure didn’t go away. The whole day was full of practicing for the big moment when the entire class graduated on to a new beginning. All the girls wore shiny bright red robes and the guys were dressed in a shiny navy blue. Standing there, I had no idea what to expect. Some things I were aware of, my friends were leaving and we wouldn’t be the same friends anymore. My role was that of being so aware of the future that I was too shocked to soak in the present; being a pessimist was my main goal and everything I was sure of became true.
After graduating high school I went to college and this was a very exciting time for my occupation as a student. It was a different experience, I was more comfortable with the language, I had the freedom of picking my own classes, my own schedule and even the professors. So even though my occupation good more challenging and I had to work part time I was very motivated and proud to be a college
