According to The Occupational Therapy Practice Framework domain and Process 3rd edition book “Occupation is used to mean all the things people want, need, or have to do, whether of physical,mental, social, sexual, political, or spiritual nature and is inclusive of sleep and rest. It refers to all aspects of actual human doing, being, becoming,and belonging. The practical, everyday medium of self-expression or of making or experiencing meaning, occupation is the activist element of hu-man existence whether occupations are contemplative, reflective, and meditative or action based” in this reflexion I will share 2 of my life occupations, their description, how they develop throughout my life span and their meaning. I picked student because my education and the ability to learning new things everyday is very rewarding to me, and identifies my persona in so many levels. I consider myself a student in every second of my life. Working as a surgical technologist in an operating room I have to be a student all the time and make myself available to learn. Because the human body is so diverse and things are constantly changing in our field I have to learn different surgeries, different instruments, and new techniques that doctors learn in conference. Then in eighth grade I came to the United States so this occupation change and got more difficult. Now I had to learn a new language and get used to a different education system and a new culture. I remember this being very difficult and frustrating because I wanted to do well in my classes but I didn 't understand my professors or the material, Luckily I was placed in a bilingual system with great people that were willing to help kids like me learn the language and be successful. Also at this stage of my life I was aware of the fact that if I wanted to be successful and have a good career I had to do well and finish school. After graduating high school I went to college and this was a very exciting time for my occupation as a student. It was a different experience, I was more comfortable with the language, I had the freedom of picking my own classes, my own schedule and even the professors. So even though my occupation good more challenging and I had to work part time I was very motivated and proud to be a college
