A Moment Of Bravery Alzheimer is one of the top 10 causes of death in the US. The disease ranks the 6th, According to the realistic prognoses, this disease don't get any better over time. As a Caregiver I notice most of patients has this disease, my current patient was diagnosed with Alzheimer little bit over a year ago, there's a lot of challenges I go through with Sarah who's the patient which am i uncertain wether or not is related to her disease .. The disease affects the brain, memory, and thinking, which leads her being very oblivious asking the same question over and over. She is also very restless at times, she walks back and forth and can becomes very aggressive, causing her to be extremely tired. When she is tired, it affects her balance and her thinking which causes her to fall a lot …show more content…

Sarah was feeling very tired than normal, I could tell by her posture and balance. So I tried to keep a close eye on her, she got up, used the bathroom, eat then went to sleep which is her normal routine. However this day she was more sleeper than ever, she literally slept out the entire day. I woke her up around 8 pm made sure she ate, and took her pills and digesting her food, while sitting there I heard a knock on the door, it was Katherina, Katherina is ms Sarah other caregiver who has been with her 4 month before i started working with her. Ms. Sarah had an exciting look in her eyes she was always happy to see Katherina because she admired her body, her beautiful blond straight hair and the way she dressed. The way Ms. Sarah stares at Katherina you would think she is in love with her. Katherina sat down beside her at the dining room table, shortly after Ms. Sarah said she wanted to use the bathroom. Katherina followed behind her and I can remember Ms. Sarah saying to her I’ll call you when I’m finished. We never leave her alone in the bathroom because of her illness which makes her forgetful and we don't want her to hurt
