Personal Narrative: A Career In A Soccer Field

As I been growing up, I’ve seen many talents everywhere I go. From people singing at church to people dancing at parties, but the talent I see the most is at a soccer field. I also have that talent in me and I feel amazing knowing I am able to play because not everyone is lucky enough to play. I started playing soccer when I was in 2nd grade with an older cousin. My cousin was the one who introduced soccer to me. I would love to go to his house because we would always play and he would teach me thing. I joined a team when I was in 3rd grade. The soccer team was from school and I would get very excited knowing I had a game against other schools. My team mates didn’t really know a lot about soccer, I felt I did because I had one year of experience. I would help them out and tried to teach my teammates what my older cousin taught me. Every practice was better because I was helping them out and making them love the sport as much as I did. I’ve been playing ever since. In my neighborhood, we had a friend who had a really big backyard with keeper goals. We would play every single day of the week. I played as a midfielder. That was my position, even though I started as a defender because of my body type. I would always be bigger than other people my age. I started as a defender but I would like to go up the field helping out, the coach saw that and said I was better being in the midfield. I felt very comfortable playing in that position. Even though I wanted to try different ones. With the time I got to play as a goalie, and I played as a forward in other outside teams. In soccer you have to be ready to play which ever positon the coaches put you in. It can really be confusing changing positions during a game you have to be mentally prepared for that. That is why I felt the need to try and play most positons, but my most comfortable positions is left
