Personal integrity or being true to myself is one of many indispensable characteristics that continues to be a driving force in my life. Upon completing my undergraduates at Texas A&M, there have been two factors that have played a role in why my GPA is below a 3.0: being a transfer/freshman student, and suffering from an illness. First, I went to college at the age of fourteen, while also attending one of Dallas’ best high schools- Dr. Wright L. Lassiter Early College. Although most people that I know have all claimed that that was a wonderful opportunity- which it was, for it did enable me to attain my Associate 's degree before my high school diploma. Nevertheless, it also had a negative effect on me. Upon arriving at Texas A&M University, I went into a major that I thought was right for me; however, I was just pressured into it by my father- I wanted to please him by going into the medical field. Furthermore, I do not view my current undergraduate performance at Texas A&M as an accurate representation of my academic abilities. Nonetheless, I am content that this university has allowed me to gain countless lessons within a short period of time. Since recovering from my illness and cultivating a phenomenal study habit that is appropriate for the level of education that I am at, my GPA has been steadily improving. I took two classes at A&M University Summer 2016: Introduction to Logic and Politics in Media, and I received an A and B respectively.
