My utmost passion for science is one of the reasons for choosing medicine. I find science a fascinating subject that encompasses all aspects of our everyday life. Indeed, I like the fact that you get to acquire something new every day.I find career in medicine as challenging marathon, which I am ready to undertake. Studying biology, chemistry, physics and maths in A-Level helps me enhance my skills such as problem-solving, research, practical, analytical, time management and ability to work under pressure. In particular, the study of human anatomy fascinates me the most. Being a member of student council made me more responsible and confident. It developed leadership, organizational and communication skills in me. Working with other council members demonstrated the importance of teamwork. I am an active member of science and community service societies at my school. I have won and participated in various national and international science competitions and olympiads including Google Science Fair, Waterloo Math Contest, and NCTC-12. I was fortunate enough to get selected for the first and second camp of NCTC-12, which is a road to ICHO. Attending the first camp during this summer break turned out to be one of the most valuable experiences of my life. Living in a new city for 9 days, away from my hometown, gave me an experience of hostel life and made me feel more independent. Teaching underprivileged children, visiting an orphanage and collecting charity for them by arranging bake sales proved to be a precious part of my life. Outside school I love playing sports such as basketball and badminton, which keeps both my mind and body fit. Taking proper care of one's health is considered to be the right of our body. My secondary interest lies in arts and crafts, visual arts and in making lanyard designs. Arts enhanced a variety of skills in me such as observation, creativity, and visual thinking.
