In this essay I am going to talk about my academic skills journey. In order to achieve my goals I must build up my strengths and be acquainted with my weaknesses. Moreover, I will focus on one major skill that every student, who wants to build a career in Criminology and Criminal justice sector, will must accomplish; time management skill . In order to work in the criminal justice system it is a necessary need of self directed learning. All the research must be done with self discipline. Becoming overwork and stressed because of the deadline lead to distraction and failure. For this reason, planning the time wisely means to be a good criminology practitioner (Fink and Fafinski, 2012). Therefore, this essay is about my path which is intended to be followed in the next few years in order to enhance my future career skills.

Firstly, this essay will look at the importance of developing time management skills. Secondly, it will focus on my prior experiences and the reason why I need to address this concern. Time management skill was an area where I struggled to succeed at the beginning of my academic year. The essay will explain the steps that I took in order to use my time in a successful way. I am also going to reflect about the effectiveness of the actions that I took. Moreover, it will also look at the further actions that I need to take in order to address these issues and to meet the SMART criteria.

Time is one resource that everybody has in common when it comes about the university, workplace, or social life. Everyone from time to time, struggle to acquire everything promptly. Whether is about paperwork, assignments or dates in order to show professionalism in everyday life there is a need of meeting time management skil...

Now at the end, I am feeling like I had so much support from so many people and I will feel ashamed if I will fail to show a great improvement of my ability to deal with time. However, I believe that the only way to succeed is to keep practicing. I learned that I always need a well structured action plan in order to be calculated and to solve problems calmly and seriously. Besides, I constantly need to reflect on my mistakes so I can avoid them in the future. The world of work requests capable persons who can use transferable skills erudite to persuade the employers. There is a long way to meet employer expectation and it is not possible without professionalism in your work. Some people chuck their chances away in terms of finding a job for not planning the time effectively (Burns and Sinfield, 2012).
