Personal Code of Ethics
These are the ethics and values that I believe apply to my personal, as well as, my professional life. In my opinion, ethics is the representation or replica of one’s own actions, whether, at work, at church, or at home. These principals have been learned by doing what is right and learning from what is wrong. My personal code of ethics are the values that I was taught, as a child and that I have tried to live by since then. Integrity

Ethics, as well as personal values, are undeniably important in everything we do, but, in my opinion, they are also a very crucial part of ones everyday life. Having good personal ethics are, as a rule, those actions that will certainly affect the experiences of a person, as well as those who are around them. Good ethical values are used to guide our social and our business related behaviors. And, at the very least, our ethics should not have a negative impact on others.
The verse that I often hear in Sunday school is from Matthew 6:1-4 "Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. “So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. "But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. My personal code of ethics all started with my family, especially my father, who taught me right and wrong. He said “You should always be a phone call away for the people in your life, and not just your friends and family, but those who you haven’t spoken to in years.” My mother raised me in a house to where you took responsibility for your actions, no matter the consequences. A final example would be what my grandfather told me when I was real young, about never quitting anything, even if you fail the first few times. Ethics are important because keep a balance between good and bad, and help people to have morality. They are important because if not taken into account, then society we live in would end in catastrophe. On television all people can see is bad news like car wrecks, armed robberies, kidnaps, mass shootings and other concerning situations. This is due to the fact that individuals decide to not consider the principles of ethics. If everyone were to do as they pleased without following the ethical standards, then it would be hard to live the happy life individuals are entitled to. My ethics and values are developed from my religious beliefs, my associations with professionals, and self experiences. My religion installs values such as honesty, courtesy, and determination, which determine how I treat other people. My association with professionals helps me to embrace values, such as determination, personal integrity, accountability, and excellence, which are fundamental in designing my academic and professional paths. The experiences I have encountered in life have taught me to observe and embrace many ethical values, including ambition, integrity, and responsibility, which enable me to associate well with my family and other members of the society.
I tend to be analytical, as previously mentioned, and supportive of others. Upholding high principles of morality and ethics have made me flourish as I have a lot of empathy towards the needy.
I feel that doing what you say you will, and treating others as you want to be treated are principles that should not only be looked at as great strengths but as internal values that convey credibility. When people trust you and know they can come to you without judgment, it offers them a sense of security and peace.
Ethics are moral principles that can be used to help guide peoples decisions. We are all different and therefore our beliefs and opinions differ. There are many ethical theories, and according to Panza and Potthast (n.d.) the following are some that are widely used. Virtue ethics is one theory which states that personality is the most important thing. Living an ethical life, acting right, requires that one develops and demonstrates the quality of courage, compassion, wisdom, and temperance. It also requires that greed, jealousy, and selfishness is avoided. Utilitarianism states that the amount of happiness and suffering created by a person’s actions is what matters the most. As a result, acting rightly includes maximizing the amount of happiness and minimizing the amount of suffering around you. At times you may need to break some of the traditional moral rules to achieve such an outcome. Kantianism is another theory which highlights the principles behind actions rather than an actions results. It states that it requires to be motivated by good principles that treats everyone with respect. If you’re motivated by good principles, you overcome your animal instinct and act ethically. Another ethical theory is the Contract theory, which suggest that ethics should be thought of as terms of agreements between people. It suggests that doing the right thing means obeying agreements set by members rather than those of society. For this theory ethics isn’t necessarily about character, consequences, or principles. The last theory I’m going to mention is Care ethics. Care ethics focuses on ethical attention on relationships before other factors. We human beings live in a society. The society or the social world we live in is based on human cooperation. In other words, the individuals in a society do not live in an isolated self-centered world. The human interactive system presupposes ethical and moral standpoint from which we operate. My personal ethical system is based on “service before self” and “love your neighbors as yourself”.

As an individual and ambitious accounting student with plans to pursue a career in public accounting, I recognize the importance of understanding my core personal values and behaviors that guide the ethical principles of my everyday actions. I recognize that I have a responsibility to myself, family, future colleagues, future clients, and the general public to follow certain guidelines and conduct myself in an ethical manner. Furthermore, I acknowledge the idea that ethical dilemmas will occur, but I am committed to my “Personal Code of Ethical Values” (as seen above) that represent my desire to live ethically in every facet of my life.
My Personal Ethics Plan. I have most of my life considered myself to be an ethical person. I try to empathize with others, be kind and respectful, and definitely not be deceitful. I was raised in a family with morals, values. I come from a Christian home, but not overly religious.
As a law enforcement officer, my fundamental duty is to serve mankind; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation, and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the constitutional rights of all men to liberty, equality and justice.

You could even end up losing a job because of a lack of ethics, or other consequences could be felt due to a lack of caring or morality. The workplace is a place that you should show respect and dignity, and a deeper sense of ethics is very important in order to uphold these senses of morality. Workplace ethics, which include such things as behavior, integrity, commitment, teamwork, and other things, are important, if not required, in most workplaces and can help to improve performance and morale for workers and employers.
Over the years, I have also learned that ethics help us to remain on the stable side of the ground in an ever-changing world and that a person’s values can be altered. The heart of ethics is integrity and values of the individual. If you can change the values and increase the integrity of the individual, you will eventually change their principles. Moral values help to improve your behavior, instill respect and enhance relationships with others. Knowing what is right or wrong is an essential element in life that shapes the character of an individual. Good moral values allow a person to make the right decisions and improve their interactions with other people. For example: respecting the elders, neighbors, the sick and other people within a society helps to enhance relationships. Good relationships contribute to create good connections between people. Moral values also have an important role in the stability of marriages and families. People should be truthful to avoid conflict with others.
