Some might disagree with Klosterman’s view on Perez Hilton and his villainy, but that is because they do not realize the amount of hatred and sorrow Perez Hilton has brought upon the world. Perez Hilton might seem like a bully to some but if we take a step back and look at the big picture we will see that he is in fact the definition of evil. Because he makes spreading lies and harassing people on the internet seem like such a wonderful job to have, people who are reading his blogs and looking up to him as an idol take bullying and harassing people as normal thing. People like Perez Hilton is the source of internet bullying, he has normalize internet bullying and created an industry out of it. Taken from twitter a fan of Perez Hilton commented “Her thighs look like it is filled with M&M’s and fried chicken” on one of Perez Hilton's tweet about a celebrity’s figure and how it was “unfit to be famous”. Perez Hilton has created an army of fans who uses the internet to continue spreading the hatred and gossip that Perez Hilton puts up on his blog. “Hilton only went after the kind of pre-adult who simultaneously loved and loathed celebrity culture to an unhealthy degree: he knew that specific demographic was both expanding and underserved” (Electric Funeral). Perez Hilton uses his targeted audiences to gain more followers, which in turns means more wealth.
