“Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life.”-Confucius. We all look up to our dreams and goals and hope to accomplish them with great effort. My long-term goal is to attend a university and earn a degree in order to become a pediatrician. Pediatricians are doctors that specialize in babies and young adults. Moreover, in ten years from now, I have the ambition to graduate both university and medical school. My career interests include helping people, and not sitting on a chair all day. The personality style I inherit values other’s emotions and enjoys having plans and following them in order to keep the organization. One is to make the patients feel comfortable being around you. Not only does the pediatrician have a responsibility to keep the patients healthy, they also make sure they are happy and safe. To add on, you would need a caring and gentle personality if you want the patients to become fewer apprehensive. Most of the patients are under eighteen, so they need to feel comfortable around the pediatrician. A specific duty is to stay up late at night and help patients when needed. This career is all about the patients. There is usually a forty-five hour per week required, but all hospitals are different. An interesting fact about this career is each pediatrician is different in their own way: there isn’t an unequivocal way to do the job since everyone has their own charisma. This career requires the person who is applying for the job to be twenty-one or older. Also, your health should be good since you work with children. Children tend to get sick easily, especially babies. Moreover, a pediatrician walks a lot throughout the day around the hospital, so having a tough time walking would not help. To add more about the personality one should have, it would include being kind, serious, and outgoing. Education wise, a pediatrician is required to achieve a lengthy residency of three to seven years in order to be employed. Worldliness is very important because you need experience in order to help the patients. Other qualifications would be to retain an aptitude: good critical and analytical thinking skills.
