Easton Clinic is a community facility, focused in providing healthcare mainly to adult patients. The institution has approximately one hundred and fifty employees, causing difficulties to reunite everybody with the purpose of conducting training. It would be beneficial for management and employees to implement an online training session that supports knowledge transmission and application in the workplace environment. A Patient Confidentiality Training will be subject to consideration.
This training is needed because in the last year, the institution encounter approximately twenty five legal issues regarding patient records confidentiality, even though employees regularly attend training on this matter, it’s of vital importance to transfer the learning to new employees to avoid legal actions when patient confidentiality is broken. Instructional Content The purpose of this event is to train employees in the basic principles of patient confidentiality as well the incorporation of online collaborative tools to assist in the process.
Performance Objectives • Given a case scenario participants should be able to differentiate those situations where patient confidentiality is not followed.
• Obtain an accurate statement about how to resolve confidentiality issues in the workplace.
• Learner has to be able to know the exceptions of the privacy rule with no errors.
• After completion of the training hours participants will take a timed HIPAA
