Recommended: What are the significance of paraphrasing

In relation to “what do you feel will change…” I feel the above to be an important goal because it incorporates what I am learning about the SSW profession with my field practicum, which ultimately makes it a richer experience. To explain, a skill like paraphrasing is an important aspect of the helping interview, a crucial component to the SSW profession. I was able to bring this aspect of the helping interview into my field practicum quite nicely in that although it is a school setting, an atypical SSW setting, given the roles and responsibilities I undertake being placed there. To explain, I have come to see paraphrasing to be useful with the students, I work with. I myself find it greatly useful when others use the micro-skill when speaking
