A personal obstacle that I have overcome was when my mother became legally blind in 2004. When my mother lost her eyesight it was a very drastic change for my family and I. We went from being a completely normal family, financially stable, to having to live paycheck to paycheck and learning how to budget. It was especially hard for me because I was a young child who didn’t understand that my mom wasn’t able to do all the same things as normal moms. I had to quickly understand that my parents would not be able to get me everything I want, but the things that I needed. The older I became the more I understood that just because my mom had a disability that she was still like all the other moms. I began to learn more about my mom’s eye disease,
As a child my parents worried about my educational development. They didn’t know if I was going to be able to keep up with the other children. I was in the third grade and didn’t know any English. I struggled academically my remaining elementary years to catch up to the other children, but it wasn’t long until I exceeded my peers in middle school.
Enrolling in a college is one thing but actually attending classes and finishing college is harder than it seems. Regardless of all of the obstacles that come our way, there are always resources to help you overcome them to succeed. First colleges aren’t cheap and working may not be enough to pay or tuition but you can qualify for financial aid, grants, and loans. Another is organizing your time by having a job that cooperates with your school schedule and also allows you to have study time. Lastly you need to believe in yourself if you don’t you will not succeed.
Have you ever found yourself pondering “what now?” after having made a goal that seemed easy enough to achieve, only to find yourself facing a dilemma? Perhaps, the individual is a first time home buyer needing a much higher than anticipated amount as a down payment for a new home. So, how does this person handle this issue that is keeping them from buying their new home? Where would a person in this scenario, even begin to look for answers after such devastating news? How does the individual perceive this dilemma? The answer to “what now?” is based on the individual’s character, thought process, and support system.
There are many traits I have that I feel I could bring to the campus, and enrich the community. A lot of these traits I picked up with my journey of high school. For me high school was a time for me to prove myself with hard work, and keeping my grades up. However, I had many obstacles along the way. These obstacles may have made my journey into high school a lot more difficult, but I had the opportunity to grow and become a stronger person from the situations I had to face. The first obstacle I ran into was freshman year. I had started out with a good GPA and it looked like I was off to a good start. Facing obstacles and struggles is inevitable. Regardless of what they may be, we all have the choice to learn and grow, or back down and fail. I am bound to face many experiences in life that may leave me feeling defeated and discouraged. Reflecting on the endeavors I have successfully executed; it is important to consider the endeavors I grappled with.
In life, many are faced with obstacles that challenge them. The challenges can be simple or large. No matter the obstacle or challenge the person is facing, it is to them a great battle. There are two very important people that I admire that faced adversity and similar struggles, they overcame them in their own ways. I will try to compare their journeys even though they were different ages and of a different time period. I will try to relate how through prayer, faith and family support they were able to overcome their adversities in similar ways. These are two different people who inspired me through their strengths, weaknesses and family values.

On the third day, after my warm-up, I started with a routine that looks very simple. From the surface, it looks very mediocre. In fact, it is a very core oriented and very painful to do. This is the reason I use a very light weight to perform this exercise. The reason this routine is brutal is because of a couple reasons. First, the position of the arm is very hard to maintain. Second, you have the forces from all directions preventing you from maintaining proper position and you must fight those forces during the movement. For these reasons alone, there is absolutely no reason to perform this routine with a heavy load.

Overcoming Obstacles Throughout a persons life, they are faced with different obstacles, and different challenges of all different types. My life in particular has been full of ups and downs, especially towards my soccer career.
