A. “Americanism is not a matter of skin or color,” by Daniel Inouye. Americanism is the attachment or allegiance to the traditions, interest, or the ideals of the United States. B. What can I personally do to promote Americanism in my school or community? C.Promoting of Americanism can be done at home, in school, or in the community. D. There are many ways to promote Americanism like ribbons for veterans, donations, and poppy flowers. A. Firstly, Americanism can be promoted by showing pride in our soldiers, which can be done in your community. B. (I.) Ribbons are used for different causes to show pride and support. (C.) The ribbons for the veterans would be like cancer ribbons, but they would have an American flag pattern. (E.) This shows Americanism because with the ribbons people could show their support for the veterans. Secondly, donating to an American non-profit organization is an act of Americanism that can be done at home. B. (I.) There are organizations that donate one hundred percent of the money that earn through donations to veterans like the Wounded Warriors Project. (C.) Organizations like the Wounded Warriors Project are true non-profit organizations that give all of the donations to veterans, those who were wounded in the war and active duty service members. (E.) Donating shows Americanism because giving to these organizations helps the soldiers of our country. Additionally, other organizations that may not donate to veterans, but other Americans also shows Americanism because it helps other Americans and supporting Americans is an important factor to Americanism.
