Just before I get started I would like to say during my short time speaking at least 1 Australians will die from obesity or health related diseases.

Good morning Mrs Arnold, Mrs Shiels and fellow class mates today I am going to give you an insight into the world of obesity…

There is one particular area that obesity plays a major role in effecting. That is health, health is vital for success in life but obesity isn't just the diseases it self it often can cause heart disease, stokes, high blood pressure, type II diabetes, Colin cancer and many more from where that came from. Everyday we are told about different stories about homicide, murder look where that stands.. at the bottom. In the red is highlighted the diet related disease and as you can see it is the biggest killer in Australia today! but funnily enough these diseases are somewhat preventable. You, your home, your school, your life style is what predicts YOUR outcome in your health. Our generation is set to live 10 years less then our last because of our new life styles. How many of you shop at big companies? I do and I could promise you that everyone in this room has. Woolworths, that has changed so dramatically over the last 30years, everything used to be from local growers and fresh, straight from peoples homes in the communities. Now days you don't know where it has been? Labelling, is a massive problem, how could you say that something is low fat when its full of so much sugar? Majority of the products are full of added preservatives, processed and all sorts of additives, extra ingredients and on. Hands up if you have ever driven to Melbourne? What do you see every corner along the way? Big companies, McDonalds, KFC, Hungry Jacks, Subways they are everywhere! But when do you ever see fresh, healthy foods stores?
