Part I: List of several opportunities that exist for incorporating each of the four areas into my Chemistry class.
1. Reading- is a standard that places equal emphasis on the sophistication of what students read and the skill with which they read (Mississippi, 2016, pp.17-18).
• Give students time to find books to read in the library and give them fifteen minutes to read at the same time each day. We call this” bulldog time”.
• Have students read detailed lab reports that are challenging and have them present what they found in each report to the class.
• Have students take the STAR test to get baseline data to see what grade level each student is reading on and work from there.

• Lab reports are the biggest part of our writing component in Chemistry and Physics. These are complete for each lab and activity.
• All projects have a writing component. These projects are given each nine week on a topic being covered in the nine weeks.
3. Speaking and Listening- includes formal presentations such as team presentations or individual presentations. It also requires students to develop a range of broadly useful oral communication and interpersonal skills(Mississippi, 2016, pp.17-18).
• Student will make presentation to the class using correct grammar in each presentation.
• Students will read aloud from the text and the lab sheets.

4. Language – is the use of essential rules of standard written and spoken English
• Students will write in proper English using all grammar rules for lab reports, presentations, and written assignments (Mississippi, 2016, pp.17-18).
• Students will use a dictionary to help with pronunciation and spelling as needed.
• Students will use vocabulary builders to help them become familiar with new vocabulary related to the topics being covered in the Chemistry
