See Things Differently According to Investopedia “A not for profit organization is a type of organization that does not earn profits for its owners. All of the money earned by or donated to a not for profit organization is used in pursuing the organization's objectives.” However, this is not always true. The Saskatchewan Roughriders, although a not-for-profit organization, can also turn a profit under certain circumstances. The Saskatchewan Roughriders constantly give back to society by running numerous programs to better the society they are a part of while still turning a profit at the end of the year. A not-for-profit organization is given a tax exempt status as long as they provide for the community as their core purpose but, can still make a profit. In order for a not-for-profit organization to turn a profit at the end of the year, they must complete not-for-profit goals or objects. Generally, these goals will follow the relief of poverty, an advancement in education or religion in the community, or any other activity that the courts have deemed charitable. …show more content…

Some examples include programs that; raise awareness about the impact of blood donation, grant wishes to terminally ill women and sick kids, they present to kids about bullying in school, and of course the sport programs put on for kids. These sport programs were created with the goal of giving every kid the chance to shine on the field even if they cannot afford the fees to participate.
