The Northern Cardinal is a perennial favorite in many of our backyards here in New Jersey. The vivid red color of the male Northern Cardinal is perhaps the most distinctive feature; especially during the winter months, as they perch themselves on ice covered branches following many winter storms. Unlike other birds, the Northern Cardinal does not migrate. They usually stay within a mile or two of where they were born. Both male and females sing all year round. Their melody is similar to a whistle. Lastly, the males will aggressively defend their nests from any unexpected intruders. The repeated crashing into large family room windows – it’s the northern cardinal responding to his own reflection. He’s trying to chase that invader away!

During the Summertime it is extremely hot and there were a lot of birds flying around. As the season of Autumn begins, the leaves change colors and began to drop to the ground. When the leaves begin to whither away the bird population soon become depleted. As the chill of Autumn starts to take its toll the bird population becomes fewer and fewer. That was the past. In the present time as the weather begins to turn cold, the birds that would usually migrate are still there. This is a new occurrence that is happening across the country. The global temperature has risen, which make the birds able to withstand what used to be a brutal winter, now is mild manner.

Who would you be if you were a character in Pilgrim’s Progress? Would you help Christian, or would you try and stop Christian from reaching the Celestial City? I believe that I would be known as Brianus. I would help Christian along his long, tiresome journey. For Brianus would help through honesty, would help focus on the goal, and would help Christian focus on the Biblical facts.

“We were born, To be real, Not to be perfect.” an anonymous person once said. The quote is a perfect example that reflects the Tom Leopard. Tom Leopard has tattooed his body from head to toe. According from the article The Sociology of the Leopard Man by Logan Feys “According to the Guinness Book of World Records he is the most tattooed man. He is, according to society, a freak.” But the amazing part of Tom Leopard is that he is himself. He doesn’t life for other people’s reaction, and so should people. Reasons why we were born to be real and not perfect is because, firstly being perfect doesn’t exactly mean changing who you are. The second reason why, you could feel many emotions and one of them could be not feeling content with yourself.

American Crows (Corvus brachyrhynchos) are a species of bird found in the family Corvidae, a family that also includes magpies, nutcrackers, and jays (Eastman, 1997). According to Eastman’s book Birds of Forest, Yard, and Thicket, there are around forty-two Corvus species, and most of them live in the Northern Hemisphere (1997). American Crows in the United States usually do not migrate, but they do migrate to Canada. Not all American Crows migrate, but they are social birds who form wintertime flocks that sometimes reach over 200,000 birds (Burton et al., 2010). American Crows have a number of features that make them identifiable, and to help keep them from being confused with another member of the Corvus genus, the Common Raven (Marzluff et al., 2013).
