In the book, everybody is killed by waragrave appearly expect for the last two vera, and lowbard. Vera shoots lombard thinking he was the murderer becuase waragrave had faked his death, theh she shoots him, and is forced to hang her self, then there were none of them. As in the movie though, vera things she has shot lombard when the murderer appears to attack her, but the two of them were the only ones left not dead becuase waragrave is the actually the killer, and as he was forcing her to hang her self, she shots him and her and lombard run away together.
